Our Heritage

A Legacy Written in Steam

Long before the resort bearing its name was established, the indigenous peoples of the Willamette Valley knew these waters as a place of healing and gathering. For generations, they came to the hot springs that rose from the earth along the riverbank.

In 1911, Belknap Hot Springs Resort opened its doors, offering bathers a chance to experience the same waters that had sustained the region's first inhabitants. Over more than a century, the resort has remained a steadfast refuge — a place where the pace of life matches the gentle flow of the Willamette.

Today, we continue that tradition. The springs still flow warm, the cabins still stand among the pines, and the river still sings its ancient song. What hasn't changed is what matters most: the promise of rest, renewal, and the simple joy of being somewhere truly special.
